October seemed like a surprising breakout month for our beautiful city of Boston. Tracks from Avenue, Michael Christmas, and Black El managed to shove their way into my Soundcloud feed, and Rhode Island, the little engine that could, chugged out a few solid bangers from mixtapes soon to be released in November.  Aside from that, Nas flowed over an amazing J Dilla sample, Thurz of course dropped his smooth, head-nodding disco jam “Right Now” and Boaz put out a super tight remix with the likes of Oddisee and Termanology.  Other tracks from Chance the Rapper and Jay Rock rounded out the month.  Check out the full list of the mixtapes below!
